We have special security requirements. What solution do you offer?

We make every effort to keep our servers secure. However, there is no such thing as a 100% safe server. As an additional precaution, we do not allow the storage of sensitive information that may become an attractive target. For most applications, this balance between keeping the security high and the potential “prize” an attacker can hope for low, is more than enough. If you do need to store sensitive information or you have special security needs, we can set up a server exclusively for your website.

We have special performance requirements. What solution do you offer?

All our servers are intentionally underused to allow room for spikes in the demand for resources without a negative impact on performance. However, whenever resources are shared, an occasional bottleneck is unavoidable. If the speed of your website is critical, or very heavy usage is anticipated, we can set up one or more servers exclusively for your website.

What happens if our website is attacked?

We create automated daily backups for all XENTAGE™ websites. If your website is attacked, we’ll restore it to the most recent backup version. Both the automated backup and the disaster recovery services are always included in your solution.

What if something happens to the server?

Our servers are continuously monitored. Any malfunction is quickly detected and fixed. If a server cannot be promptly repaired, we’ll set up a new server and restore all the software and data from the most recent backup.

How many e-mail addresses can we have?

You can have as many email addresses as you need for your staff, and you will never have to pay for additional addresses. While there is no limit to the number of email addresses you can have, using them to offer a free or commercial email service is strictly prohibited under the terms of service.

Will our e-mail addresses be protected from spam?

All your e-mail accounts will be protected by spam filtering software. The behaviour of the spam filter can be adjusted according to your preferences.

Can we send bulk (direct marketing) e-mail messages from our e-mail addresses?

Absolutely not. We have a zero tolerance policy against any form of spam. We offer a specialized service for e-mail marketing that makes sure all the recipients actually requested your newsletter or announcement messages. It also provides an easy and safe opt-out mechanism, to allow anybody to remove their address from your list.

Can we access our e-mail accounts from outside the office?

Sure. You can access your e-mail from any computer that is connected to the Internet, using whatever web browser happens to be installed on that computer. All you need to know is your email address and password.

Can we have our website hosted with a different provider?

Yes, but only if you terminate your agreement with us, and only the components you own. That would make a complete but static website. You will most likely need replacement software, probably from your new provider, in order to achieve the website functionality you want.
